In June, 30 exchange-traded products (“ETPs”) were added to the ETF Deathwatch list and 12 were removed, bringing the total to 542. The 30 ETPs that were added were due to low trading volume, and the 12 products removed were due to improved health.
Forty-three ETPs on Deathwatch this month have been in the market for at least 10 years, including many short ETPs. The average asset level of the threatened ETPs on ETF Deathwatch increased from $8.98 million to $9.27 million, and 49 products had less than $2 million in assets. The average age of products on the list increased from 41.62 months to 43.20 months, and the number of products at least 5 years of age increased from 107 to 117. The largest ETP on the list had an AUM of $24.92 million, while the smallest had assets of just $357,600.
