Updates on how dynamic, risk-managed investment solutions are performing in the current market environment.

U.S. equity markets posted gains in all three indexes last week. The S&P 500 gained 2.74%, the NASDAQ Composite gained 2.35%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 3.44%. All 11 sectors were up last week; Energy, which posted the largest gain, was up by 6.66%. Nine of the 11 Quantified Funds were up last week: The Quantified Tactical Sectors Fund (QTSSX) was up 11.60%, the Quantified Market Leaders Fund (QMLFX) was up 7.11%, the Quantified Pattern Recognition Fund (QSPMX) was up 5.67%, the Quantified Common Ground Fund (QCGDX) was up 4.41%, the Quantified STF Fund (QSTFX) was up 4.26%, the Quantified Evolution Plus Fund (QEVOX) was up 3.61%, the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund (QALTX) was up 2.81%, the Quantified Rising Dividend Tactical Fund (QRDTX) was up 2.20%, the Quantified Managed Income Fund (QBDSX) was up 0.69%, the Quantified Government Income Tactical Fund (QGITX) was down 0.69%, and the Quantified Tactical Fixed Income Fund (QFITX) was down 1.50%.

The Market Environment Indicator (MEI) remained bullish last week. Equity asset-class allocations in the Quantified Market Leaders Fund changed to the following: Small-Cap Value (30.26%), Mid-Cap Value (15.13%), Large-Cap Value (7.57%), and Large-Cap Growth (22.70%). Total sector ETF weightings were at 75.67%, holding nearly equal exposures in Banking, Real Estate, Retail, and Energy.

The cash level within the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund increased by 0.01% last week (16.41%). The largest allocation increase and decrease, respectively, within the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund (QALTX) last week were the following: Allocation to the FlexShares Morningstar Global Upstream Natural Resources ETF (GUNR, 2.03%) increased by 0.71%, while allocation to the iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF (IAI, 1.73%) decreased by 0.49%. Last week, the funds were up 4.03% and 5.52%, respectively.

The 10% capital allocation of the volatility-based systematic trading of NASDAQ 100 Index futures started the week at 7% net long, changed to 8% net long on Monday, and remained there for the rest of the week.

The QFC Self-adjusting Trend Following strategy’s signal of exposure in the NASDAQ 100 Index (NDX) held a 200% exposure throughout the week. The Quantified STF Fund (QSTFX) was up 4.26% for the week, compared to a gain of 2.10% on the NASDAQ 100 Index (NDX) and a gain of 2.09% for the Rydex Series NASDAQ 100 Fund (RYHOX), a current potential holding of the STF strategy.

The Quantified Managed Income Fund’s (QBDSX) four leading broad-bond index ETF holdings are the SPDR Barclays Capital High Yield Bond ETF (JNK, 14.21%), the Alerian MLP ETF (AMLP, 10.20%), the Invesco Preferred ETF (PGX, 10.20%), and the ProShares Short 20+ Year Treasury ETF (TBF, 10.20%). Last week, the funds were up 0.54%, 1.23%, 0.02%, and 2.33%, respectively. Cash was at 5%.

The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield closed the week up 5.90%. The 12% active portfolio exposure to 30-year U.S. Treasury bond futures in the Fund held a 3.50% net long exposure throughout the week. The S&P E-mini Futures started the week with a 0% net short exposure and changed to an 8% net short exposure on Friday.

The Quantified Pattern Recognition Fund (QSPMX) started the week with a 200% net long exposure and changed to a 10% net long exposure on Friday.

The Quantified Tactical Fixed Income Fund (QFITX) held a 57.20% net long exposure to Treasurys and a 19.20% net long exposure to high-yield bonds throughout the week.

The Quantified Evolution Plus Fund (QEVOX) changed to the following allocations: 9% in the S&P, 34% in real estate, 40% in international equity, 12% in gold, and 5% in the NASDAQ 100.

The Quantified Common Ground Fund (QCGDX) had an allocation of 3.98% to cash. The Fund’s largest allocations were to Magellan Health Inc. (MGLN, 6.09%) and Deckers Outdoor Corporation (DECK, 5.71%). Last week, the stocks were down 0.13% and up 16.99%, respectively.

The Quantified Tactical Sectors Fund (QTSSX) had the following allocations: SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE, 50%), iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF (IYR, 50%), SPDR Retail ETF (XRT, 50%), and VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH, 50%).

The Quantified Government Income Tactical Fund (QGITX) held a 26% net long exposure to Treasurys throughout the week.

The Quantified Rising Dividend Tactical Fund (QRDTX) had a bullish exposure last week.
