U.S. equity markets posted gains in two of the three indexes last week. The S&P 500 gained 1.23%, the NASDAQ Composite lost 1.51%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 2.67%. Seven of the 11 sectors were up last week; Energy, which posted the largest gain, was up by 8.89%. Seven of the nine Quantified Funds were up last week: The Quantified Tactical Sectors Fund (QTSSX) was up 4.95%, the Quantified Market Leaders Fund (QMLFX) was up 3.36%, the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund (QALTX) was up 1.21%, the Quantified Pattern Recognition Fund (QSPMX) was up 0.89%, the Quantified Managed Income Fund (QBDSX) was up 0.81%, the Quantified Common Ground Fund (QCGDX) gained 0.70%, the Quantified Evolution Plus Fund (QEVOX) was up 0.61%, the Quantified Tactical Fixed Income Fund (QFITX) was down 0.10%, and the Quantified STF Fund (QSTFX) was down 2.06%. The Market Environment Indicator (MEI) remained bullish last week. Equity asset-class allocations in the Quantified Market Leaders Fund were as follows: Small-Cap Value (30.26%), Mid-Cap Value (22.70%), Large-Cap Growth (15.14%), and Large-Cap Value (7.56%). Total sector ETF weightings were at 75.68%, holding equal exposures in Banking, Financial Services, Retail, and Energy. The individual ETF positions with the leading portfolio weightings were the iShares Russell Mid Value (IWS, 22.70%), the Financial SPDR ETF (XLF, 18.91%), and the SPDR KBW Regional Bank ETF (KRE, 18.91%). Total cash is now at 24.10%. Within the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund (QALTX), allocation to the iShares Global Materials ETF (MXI, 5.20%) increased, while allocation to the AlphaCentric Premium Opportunity Fund (HMXIX, 0%) decreased. Last week, the funds were up 6.48% and 0.34%, respectively. The cash level within the Quantified Alternative Investment Fund decreased to 14.46% last week. The 10% capital allocation of the volatility-based systematic trading of NASDAQ 100 Index futures started the week at 7% net long, changed to 6% net long on Tuesday, and remained there for the rest of the week. The QFC Self-adjusting Trend Following strategy maintained 200% exposure to the NASDAQ 100 Index (NDX) throughout last week. The Quantified STF Fund (QSTFX) was down 2.06% for the week, compared to a loss of 1.02% on the NASDAQ 100 Index (NDX) and a loss of 1.02% for the Rydex Series NASDAQ 100 Fund (RYHOX), a current potential holding of the STF strategy. The Quantified Managed Income Fund’s (QBDSX) four leading broad-bond index ETF holdings are the SPDR Barclays Capital High Yield Bond ETF (JNK, 14.21%), the PIMCO 0-5 Year High Yield Corporate Bond Index ETF (HYS, 10.20%), the ProShares Short 20+ Year Treasury ETF (TBF, 10.20%), and the WisdomTree U.S. LargeCap Dividend ETF (DLN, 10.20%). Last week, the funds were up 0.18%, down 0.03%, down 0.68%, and up 2.59%, respectively. Cash was at 5%. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield closed the week down 3.01%. The 12% active portfolio exposure to 30-year U.S. Treasury bond futures in the Fund started the week with a 0% net long exposure, changed to 2.50% net long exposure on Monday, and remained there throughout the rest of the week. The S&P E-mini Futures started the week with a 7.50% net short exposure, changed to an 8% net short exposure on Thursday, and remained there for the rest of the week. The Quantified Pattern Recognition Fund (QSPMX) had an 80% net long exposure throughout the week. The Quantified Tactical Fixed Income Fund (QFITX) started the week with a 29% exposure to inverse Treasurys, 6% exposure to high-yield bonds, and 66% exposure to money markets. On Monday, it changed allocations to 18% to Treasurys, 19.20% to high-yield bonds, and 69% to money markets. It remained there throughout the week. The allocation of the Quantified Evolution Plus Fund (QEVOX) changed to the following allocations: 47% in the S&P, 39% in real estate, 7% in the Russell 2000, and 7% in the NASDAQ 100. The cash exposure in the Quantified Common Ground Fund (QCGDX) changed to 3.96%. The Fund’s largest allocations were to American Water Works (AWK, 6.45%) and Nextera Energy (NEE, 5.94%). Last week, the stocks were down 2.06% and 3.84%, respectively.
